CLOSED: All Vegetarian Asian Restaurant - Bright Palace - Cary, NC

Bright Palace
1207-J Kildaire Farm Road
Cary, NC
919-468-7238

I ate here with friends tonight. It is an ALL veg. Asian restaurant. It is huge, nicely decorated and the menu has so many selections that it's a little overwhelming. They have faux meat and sushi, but also a large selection of vegetable dishes.

They are so new that they don't have a website yet. They will also eventually have dim sum, but do not offer that at this time either.

That's great!! My wife and I don't typically enjoy Chinese restaurant dining, but it sounds like this is different from many other Chinese restaurants. We'll get it posted on our resources guide! Thanks for sharing the word and blogging! --Dilip

My family had lunch there today and it was delicious! They didn't have takeout menus available yet, but we will definitely be back. My husband had the sweet & sour spare ribs and I had the vege meat lunch box which came with about 6 different items. Yum! Even my toddler chowed down.

Bright Palace is FANTASTIC! It appears impeccably clean, the service is marvelous - friendly, informative, and helpful in every way, and wow, the selection of all-vegetarian items is heavenly for those of us who are all-too accustomed to scanning extensive menus for the one or two tofu items.. Not so at Bright Palace, where instead there are several pages of menu items, where literally everything is vegetarian. Go visit them, and enjoy. You won't regret it. I am so pleased that our friends introduced us to this restaurant!

Thank you for posting on this restaurant. I didn't even know it existed until last night when I was leaving The Loop and wished I'd seen it when I was going in - I would have tried it out. I got online tonight thinking they'd have a website with a menu, but I see it's really new. Anyway, thanks for the original post and the additional information in the comments. Will definitely be checking them out this week.

We noticed this new restaurant as we were coming out of The Loop for dinner one evening. The manager at Bright Palace did not have a menu for me to take home, but she gave me a gift certificate and invited me to come back another day (nice!) which we did this past weekend. The menu is quite extensive and can be a bit overwhelming, so I asked the table next to us what they had and what they recommended. Among our favorites: the Cedar flavored fried rice was excellent, the Spare Ribs was delicious and it's amazing that it was 100% vegetarian because it tasted a lot like tender ribs. Even the brown rice was cooked perfectly. My teenagers really liked the black tea with bubbles (which are actually giant tapioca balls)because it had a great aromatic flavor. My 4 year old ordered the strawberry drink with bubbles and that wasn't so good--too watery and artificial tasting. Everything else was excellent. We liked the fresh ingredients and didn't feel excessively thirsty after eating there, as we sometimes do with restaurants that uses too much sodium/MSG. Bright Palace is a GEM. You don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy the food here.

Could anyone comment on the Vegan-ness of this restaurant?

I asked the chef and he said that everything was vegan, with the possible exception of the cheese balls. Even those he believed to be vegan but he said "avoid them just to be sure".

this restaurant is sadly now CLOSED. i don't know why, because we ate there often and we were just in there last week, and noone said anything about closing. there is now a "for lease" sign in the window. bummer.

Noooo! I went there last week and saw a sign reading "Closed for kitchen renovations," so I called a few days later and the phone was disconnected... ugh.

I had hope it wasn't true because they just revamped their website. I hope it's that they're moving to a better location.
